We are looking for bright, talented and high-energy individuals who have the talent, experience and personality to serve as our company Controller. We want candidates who are ready to become a CFO.
 
Our Controller will be responsible for providing the Executive Management Team the information (primarily financial) on all company activities needed to make educated economic decisions about the company’s future.  
 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong accounting background (CPA not required, but a big plus)
  • Experience working with a small company and growing it
  • Generally, at least 7+ years experience in accounting / finance, and previous experience as the top accounting employee at a company
 
You will be expected to:
  • Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Direct preparation of budgets.
  • Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
  • Arrange for audits of company’s accounts.
  • Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Review company financial statements for accuracy and clarity.
  • Manage the Accounting department.
  • File all tax returns
  • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
  • Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter.
  • Move payroll to an “in-house” process
  • Ensure, through systems and evaluations, that all expenditures are in alignment with organizational objectives and consistent to the company’s terms
