Not only has Charfen reshaped the entire real estate industry by authoring the Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE)—the fastest-growing independent designation in real estate history—and the Certified Investor Agent Specialist™ (CIAS) designations, but he has educated, coached and developed numerous small business owners through the revolutionary LEAD Experience.

Co-founder and Executive Vice President
Cadey Charfen co-founded Charfen Institute in 2008, and currently serves as the company’s Executive Vice President. She oversees the company’s training events and conferences, course instructors and the LEAD Coaching Program. Prior to establishing the Institute, Charfen was a licensed Realtor® in the State of Florida and a top-performing agent concentrating on distressed property sales.
In 2007, during the housing crisis in South Florida, Charfen’s thriving real estate business could not withstand the strain and she and Alex were forced to declare bankruptcy. This left them at a professional stopping point, facing strong financial challenges. It was then that Charfen and her husband used her unique expertise with distressed properties to create the Certified Distressed Property Expert® Designation, helping provide a solution for the foreclosure crisis that had affected them personally. In the span of three years, the Charfen Institute has grown from a husband-and-wife team of to a multi-brand, multi-million dollar company with over 70 employees, all while remaining completely debt-free and profitable.
