Dolores Roth has been involved in sales, marketing and training in the real estate industry since 1998. In addition to being an instructor, speaker and coach, she is currently a broker-associate licensed in the State of Florida and has earned several real estate designations and sales awards. Dolores is very active in the Realtor® community. She sits on the Board of Directors for the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches and the Florida Association of Realtors, and is a Federal Political Coordinator for the National Association of Realtors. Dolores has been on the Realtors Honor Society for several years. She is also a GRI instructor and has taught hundreds of technical seminars over the past 20 years for numerous corporations across the nation. Her current endeavor is to share her unique and captivating teaching style for the Distressed Property Institute.

What are your greatest life achievements?

On a personal level, this is an easy question – my children! Well, maybe not so easy now ... my three-year old granddaughter may have superseded their status as greatest life achievement!

On a professional level it was when I realized and I could combine two passions: real estate and teaching!

What is your favorite part about teaching the CDPE?

It would have to be the point the student processes the volume of data and the "light bulb" starts flashing! There are many short sale courses conducted by as many "specialists", but no course shares as much or as pertinent information as this one. I knew by the end of the first day I attended the course in August 2008 that I wanted "in"! Months before becoming involved with the Institute, I spread the word and told any and every agent within earshot about the value of this course. I have since received many, many thanks for not only saving their real estate careers, but also for giving them the kick-start they needed to get back on track and provide a true service to their customers!

Tell us your most moving CDPE moment.

It was when a fellow associate in my office confided in me that she hadn't had any business in over 6 months, and she that would have to leave the business. I encouraged her to attend the CDPE course, telling her that it would change her view of our current market and provide her with a whole new set of tools. She agreed to this last-ditch effort and spent her last bit of (real-estate-reserved) savings to attend the course three months ago. She has since closed three deals!!! She thanks me at every opportunity and has become a raving fan!!!

What does helping people mean to you?

This is very simple: helping others is contagious and reciprocal. The more I can give and share, the more I learn and share. But this is more than just helping people; it's helping families, our community and our economy, one home at a time.
